Scientist's Kitchen

This award-winning Scientist’s Kitchen was designed for an engineer couple with an appreciation for design, which we translated into seamless and modern bespoke finishings.  Designated the regional Kitchen of the Year by Sub-Zero Wolf’s design contest, the thoughtful of integration of materials alongside innovative performance considerations were key to the design concept.

Our interior design work in the Scientist’s Kitchen features a monolithic black granite island, bronze appliances, and custom walnut cabinetry and floating shelves set against natural stone walls. The sculptural pendant lighting inset into the tray ceiling adds an architectural rhythm to the kitchen, while concealed Sub-Zero appliances and stainless-steel elements enhance functionality without visual clutter. The result is a refined, modern kitchen that balances technical precision with timeless materials.

The kitchens stove serves as the focal point of the room and is inspired by the grand stone kitchens of French estates; this modern interpretation features a dramatic limestone arch framing a professional Wolf range and custom stainless-steel cabinetry. The clean lines and durable materials bring a contemporary sensibility to a timeless architectural element. A pot filler and stainless-steel backsplash underscore functionality, while the surrounding stone adds warmth and texture. The Scientist Kitchen succinctly blends old-world design inspiration with modern performance and craftsmanship.
